Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life
by Christie Tate
I listened to this book straight through on the long drive from Jonesboro, Arkansas to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was engaging, that is for sure, but it was also unapologetically upper middle class going on upper class, white, cis, het. None of which is inherently bad, Christie's struggles that she lays out are genuine and equal parts heart wrenching & laughable. But none are particularly surprising either, and they're all set against the often-ignored backdrop of her wealth. So yeah - it was alright!
