A Billionaire's Vow by Laura Riley, Laura Riley

2.0

Lucian fell in love with Chelsea after seeing her photograph, after propositioning her with one million pounds for one night, Chelsea is instantly put off. Two years later, Chelsea is in desperate need of money, and it's not long before Lucian offers to help in exchange for a fake relationship.

The premise of the book is what instantly hooked me in, this book has it all - billionaires, fake engagement and a slight mystery. However, the book fell flat, the speech felt extremely disjointed and the relationship developed way too quickly. More scenarios of Lucian developing his relationship with Chelsea would have been more ideal, however the portrayal of Chelsea's complex relationship with OCD was a great addition, but it was briefly dwelled on - I wish it was more of a focal point.

Whilst this particular book didn't hit the spot, I was intrigued by the Calloway siblings, I will be sure to keep an eye out on the tropes for any additional books in this series.
