For the Love of Friends by Sara Goodman Confino
3.0

I enjoyed this book, mostly. I was oscillating between a 3-star and 4-star rating, but landed on 3 because, while I liked it, I didn't love it.

Our protagonist, Lily Weiss, is the least self-aware person I think I've ever read about. I was supposed to be rooting for her, but I couldn't always. She started a blog about her friends being bridezillas and, although it was anonymous, she didn't really change any details about her experiences, she published posts from her work computer, where she worked as PR rep, and was completely self-absorbed. I really can't believe she didn't think this would blow up in her face.

By the end, I thought she'd grown a bit and had some type of comeuppance. That being said, that was at the end. For the majority of the book, she was still a relatively crappy person.

I did enjoy the writing style and definitely look forward to reading more by Sara Goodman Confino.
