The Distance Between Us by Kasie West

4.0

This is a very entertaining book! I really loved reading it!

Caymen is such an amusing character; sarcastic, witty and intelligent. I found bits of myself in her character which is probably why I like the book so much.

Though certain parts of the book deal with serious themes, Kasie West makes it very light but engaging.

One of the best things I liked about this book is that it's not a sappy romance. Their romance was realistic and carefully drawn out.

Yes, Caymen and Xander have chemistry, but their chemistry mainly lies in their unbelievable (according to Caymen) friendship - and later, romance. Caymen and Xander initially connect over their shared hate they harbor towards their respective planned-out futures. Xander is rich and is expected to take over the family business, while Caymen is doomed to be stuck in her mom's doll store.

Though Caymen and Xander are the main characters of the story, the others characters also have plenty of room to develop which is something I appreciated.

All in all, if you're looking for a sweet (not over the top) and absorbing book that'll have you laughing at every page, this is one! I definitely recommend it if you enjoy sarcasm and are into non-cheesy, believable romance!

Toodles!
