The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
5.0

At first I did not understand why this book was so popular but I know now. Its kind of a modern version of The Catcher in the Rye but less of a downer, although there is still many sad moments the writer himself isn't a downer like Holden. But it just gives you an idea of exactly what Charlie is feeling. Maybe I'm looking too deeply but I feel like it also gave an idea of how the world can make you really happy at times and take a huge toll on you at other times if you are present and if you really listen to people around you. We all wish we had people like Charlie in our lives who could really listen to what we're saying
