Holy shit! I finished this in one sitting!

Mild spoilers ahead?

I'm not really sure why this one has so many negative reviews, because it was so good! It was thrilling, horrifying, and fast paced. It kept me turning pages and I loved that it had a huge moral message about not being stupid and doing recreational drugs. There's a reason why we had the DARE program, kids, haha. I also loved how it highlighted toxic friendships and teenage feelings of inadequacy and trying to fit in, as well as showing the negative effects of peer pressure.

The horrifying bits of the story really made this book pop, though. Like, the murdery horror bits, not the drug horror. I felt chills and shock as I read, and the ending made me question it all, in a good way.

Survive The Night just felt like a fresh take on YA horror. It took the "teens making stupid mistakes" trope to a whole new level, and gave the teens real reasons to be scared and overdramatic. It also made better use of the "questionable unreliable narrator" trope. Definitely a 5 star read, but comes with trigger warnings of toxic friendship, drug use, drug and alcohol addiction, gore, blood, death, and vomiting.
