Each story is so unique that it’s hard to rate this book as a whole. The anthology ranges anywhere from two stars to five stars, but overall lands at a solid four stars.
My favorite tale was Krewe de Désir, which told the story of love and revenge at the carnival of course. All tales are set either at the carnival or near the carnival. I also really liked Masked Plans, which reminded me of the old Scream movies for some reason.
Several of the stories are LGBTQ, which I really enjoyed. These are not heavy smut stories, they are heavy on the horror though. Perfect if you’re looking for a spooky read for the season.
