I was given this book by the publisher for an honest review.
This is my first book by this author.
It was a sweet romance. Nicole, a teacher on summer break, is sent on a scavenger hunt by her late grandmother.
Mark, a big city cop, is taking in a smaller role to overcome a recent tragedy.
The book was a great quick read.
I like the premise of the scavenger hunt but think the author could have added more to the journey and clues. For example:
Spoiler alert!
Grandma prepaid to have the master bedroom remodeled to Nicole's design. Nicole meets with the designer. they become friends and construction begins. The construction and redesign is mentioned but we never get to see the reveal. All that was said was "Thankfully, the remodel was finished and had turned out lovely. The owners would be thrilled when they saw it."
That being said, I did enjoy the book and will still recommend it to my friends.
