Climate Crisis and the Global Green New Deal: The Political Economy of Saving the Planet by Noam Chomsky, Robert Pollin

4.0

Sensible approach to our current state of climate apathy, and how a specific political party stands in the way of progress. The conversation is not focused so much on laying blame, as it is about how we need to recognize the current and future obstacles and develop tactics to reduce the damage being done to our habitat.

One of the things I would change in this book is right on the cover. This should not be a conversation about "saving the planet". Earth was fine before us, and will be fine way after we are gone. The thing we should be concerned about is saving humanity from an increasingly hostile weather. We need to focus on saving humanity, not the planet.
