Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets & Advice for Living Your Best Life by Ali Wong

funny lighthearted slow-paced

3.5

It always feels weird to rate memoirs, because unless you’re already a fan of them, there’s a high possibility you just won’t like the book because you don’t like them. I like Ali Wong but reading this made me realize I just don’t love her brand of comedy and that’s okay. There were some very funny and heartwarming parts, and the letter at the end by her husband definitely boosted the rating a bit. While I do feel she was sincere and somewhat vulnerable in this book, it did feel a bit surface level. I would have liked to learn more about her as a person. Overall it was a fun time and an easy read
