The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict
2.0

Perhaps my extremely high expectations of the book informed my dislike (I am fascinated by the Mitfords) but man. The over-emphasis of the special pet names (we get it, they liked nicknames), the insertion of doubt from Unity about the Nazis’ position on the Jews (there is 0 proof she did not fully embrace Hitler’s antisemitism) even the editing (I’d bet Nancy was also third person at some point but was switched to first person, but not completely).

Also the fact that two of the three POVs were pro fascist, and even Nancy wasn’t the greatest - just nah.
