I have loved the job that E.K. Johnston has done with these Padme books (Queen’s Shadow and now Queen’s Peril). For someone who loves Star Wars and these glimpses into character’s lives through novels this was very well done! You get a lot of back story on the handmaidens as well as a glimpse into young Padme’s life. The only thing I wish was that parts in the middle hadn’t dragged so much, but the details were great and built each character too.
