In this totally satisfying conclusion to the Magic Thief series Conn is once again on the run. He's been banned from Wellmet, so he's hiding out in the Twilight, with some help from Nevery and Benet. They're working to fortify the city against an evil magic that is on it's way, and Conn is still on the lookout for his locus magicalicus.
This is the first time I've read a book in this series instead of listening to it, and while I love the audio I've discovered I've missed out on some fun illustrations. All the main characters are back, and thankfully most of them still believe in Conn which is a welcome change from the last book. Conn's new locus magicalicus is an interesting development along with the way he eventually deals with the evil magic. All the loose ends are tied up satisfactorily, but I'm a bit sad to let Conn go . . .
