A raw story with a realistic view of the horrors of Afghanistan. I have been wanting to read this for a long time, and I finally listened to it in audiobook. I understand the message and the viewpoint this story is giving, especially as a white person living in America. I felt the real emotions from Amir. I gave it three stars just because some parts felt long and drawn out.
