i literally felt like this book was written about me lolz. what a beautiful book about what it means to be queer in todays society and how we might have been raised one way and what harm the way we’re raised can do, but also how liberating it can be to let go of those who still believe in the morals of their parents.

this was so beautifully written. the back and forth between past and present was a bit confusing at first but i got used to it pretty quickly. idk this book was heartwarming yet heartbreaking yet hopeful? idk i really liked it it made me laugh and cry like what more could you want?!?!

rating it 4.0 bc i felt like at some points the writing was a little young and started giving YA which i don’t mind in the slightest however i didn’t think i was reading a YA novel so every time something that gave me YA would come up i was be like oh what are you doing here. it was still super relatable and real but i think some quirky little bits didn’t fit the full vibe of the book.
