The Penalty Shot by Maren Moore

4.0

The penalty shot

Asher and Auden first meet with a bit of mistaken identity, although it takes them a couple days and interactions to realize. Auden is a single mom who has been on her own for 8 years raising her son, Alex, with no support from her family. She is fiercely protective of Alex and sacrifices everything to provide for him. Asher is a professional hockey player who happens to live next door to Auden and Alex.

Asher barely knows Auden but has actually known Alex for awhile since they both love art. When Auden needs help Asher rushes to their side to protect them and thus begins his protectiveness of Auden and Alex. They truly bring out the best parts and new parts of each other to make a great couple and team for Alex.
