The Bone Chests
by Cat Jarman
I really loved the premise of this book. The imagined scenes were really evocative and Jarman writes beautifully, making a pretty tricky topic very accessible. That said, I couldn't keep up with the relentless march of monarch after monarch with similar names. I didn't love it as much as I hoped I would. Still, I will read The River Kings - I think Jarman is a great writer, perhaps the period in time just wasn't for me.
