“Can’t imagine doing life without you. Not now. Hallie, you’ve ruined me. But I’d burn myself to ash over and over if it meant getting you in the end.”

This series is my absolute favorite, it has quickly become so close to my heart! Lawson & Hallie's story was perfect but not without the usual thrill that comes with the plot. I loved the story so much and more than that, I loved Lawson's three boys, Luke, Drew & Charlie. They were just so adorable and I loved the way Hallie slowly won their hearts one by one, especially the effort she put with Luke was commendable and I also liked how he acted as her bodyguard when his dad was not around lol! Hallie's traumas just made me want to hug her and protect her from her panic attacks and I felt so proud when she finally defended herself at the end. She was so sweet with the kids and her overall protective and caring nature with them just won my heart!

“It’s you, Blue. You’re the one who brought me out of the ashes. It’s always been you.”

Lawson was having a real tough time having to take care of three kids on his own and Hallie brought the much needed peace and stability in their lives. Seeing how much he loved his kids and how protective he was about Hallie made me adore him! I adored this story, it was a delightful read and the kids managed to keep a smile on my face throughout the entire book with their smartass conversations especially Drew & Charlie! Also, I loved the slow burn and when Hallie & Lawson finally got together I loved the way they supported each other with their insecurities and past traumas. There wasn't a single chapter I did not like and the build up of their relationship was pretty good. The suspenseful part of the plot did not overshadow the romance and the side characters were all so amazing. So, overall this was an enjoyable read and an absolute page turner that stole my heart with its heart rendering moments! I hope there's a second gen coming with the kids because I simply cannot get enough of this family!
