To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini

5.0

Honestly pleasantly surprised. I’m not the biggest fan of sci fi but I really enjoyed Eragon, and liked Paolinis writing so I knew I would at least like the book. However I ended up loving it a lot more than expected. Often time sci fi can get repetitive and original ideas are hard to find. To sleep in a sea of stars took plenty of ideas from past sci fi stories but created his own very original and different story. I tend to fall in love with characters and enjoy stories that explore those characters deeply, and To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is actually the opposite. It is more plot driven, but by reading till the end of it I found it not to be a problem at all. 900 pages of fun and exceeding expectations. You can definitely see the improvement in his writing. He even has plenty of scientific explanations in the book which shows you how much work he put into writing it.

Enjoyyyy!!
