Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain

2.0

A dramatization of me reading this book:

Book: You may think introverts are not good, but did you know, introverts are good?
Me: Well, yeah, sure, but I was hoping for some deeper insights--
Book: How's this for insightful--Many years ago, there was an introverted woman who got on a bus.
Me: Is your argument really that Rosa Parks was an introvert and therefore introverts are good?
Book: This introverted woman was tired and didn't want to talk to anyone, so she sat at the front of the bus.
Me: But just saying that a bunch of important people in history were introverts isn't really that informative--
Book: And it may surprise you to learn that people told this (very introverted!) woman she wasn't allowed to sit in the front of the bus!
Me: Maybe instead of just cheerleading for introverts, you could offer some more thoughtful analysis of--
Book: And do you know who that introverted woman who refused to move to the back of that bus was?
Me: Rosa Parks. It was Rosa Parks.
Book: It was Rosa Parks!!!
Me: ...
Book: And Moses was an introvert too!
