Garth Marenghi's TerrorTome by Garth Marenghi

5.0

Two of my favourite things in the world are shit, pulpy horrror novels and absurd humour. This combines the two in the most quotable self aware joke within a joke, within a joke type way with a healthy sprinkling of sarcastic tone. Probably wouldn't be for everyone, and the joke might wear thin for some people after the first third or two but for me it hit everything I wanted from the archduke of darkdom and I still want more, so I'm going to have to go and watch Darkplace again.

I'm going to have to make a new shelf called "Humour that feels so British, I'm surprised it has any kind of market anywhere that isn't within at least five miles of an Argos" on which this will sit somewhere between Red Dwarf and whatever it is Noel Fielding is doing these days.
