Where the Truth Lives by Mia Sheridan
5.0
Wooa, this book kept me on the edge of the seat. The suspense made my skin tingle with excitement; that’s why I love crime genre. I could hear the clicking sound like unlocked keys in my head whenever more clues and leads were discovered; it’s so satisfying to follow the development of the investigation. This book definitely provided all the answers to some of the unknowns at the end of Where the Blame Lies including you-know-who. Although I did wish that Mia would elaborate a little more on Charles Hartsmans' thought process - perhaps a psychological explanation of his doings (he obviously cared a lot for Reed, his son and Josie). In the end, I like this one a tad bit more because of how complex this case is and romance was not the main focus.
I spent a day and 1/2 to finish it because it was worth not socializing, nor checking my phone nor talking to my boyfriend who lives with me
