Meh. It's what to expect from Rebecca - military romances, sexy beefed up male protagonist, tortured from ptsd, kills in a war zone and weak to a single woman.
It's fine, but felt like the unevolved version of things we leave unfinished. Alot of the yearning and the romance took place off-the-page, and really needed the epistolary format of things we leave unfinished. Having an active war zone setting also made the story too dramatised and action-led, rather than relationship-led.
