sincere_mammoth 's review for:
Robinson Crusoe
by Daniel Defoe
FINALLY I'M DONE WITH YOU.
This really isn't that awful of a read, it's just mostly boring. Dufoe was a business man in life and certainly writes like a business man - details of what he possesses, how to grow food or maintain livestock efficiently, etc, and certainly doesn't read like survival/desert island novel would read now. I feel similarly about Cursoe as I did with Paradise Lost, in that while I didn't enjoy the book itself I like what it signifies in the literary tradition and how it's influence the world.
