War Shadows by Jeffrey Wilson, Brian Andrews

5.0

They did it again. This book rocks.

I really appreciated how aggressive the conflict within the Ember team could get this time around with the inclusion of Adamo especially. They really make you irritated by him but I appreciate the development they gave him as the story went on. There was a decent amount of strong drama this time around, particularly in the final pages, that really caught me off guard. Also, I loved seeing the way Chunk was introduced here, considering I started my first foray into this series with Sons of Valor. I love Chunk so much and I’m so glad he had a decent role in this. His chemistry with Dempsey is great and had me laughing quite a bit.

Andrews and Wilson continue to deliver fantastically mounted action scenes that feel so scorching and aggressive. I continuously found myself white knuckled while these sequences played out.

I can’t wait to pick up the next book. I’m legitimately hooked on this series. Amazon series or movie adaptation please?
