There were a lot of pleasant surprises in this book that forced me to rethink some of my preconceived notions about romance novels and character development over and over. That being said, there were still some loose ends that I felt weren't tied with characters that drifted into the story (TK's Mom, Poppy's family, How Brynn knew TK so well, Maxwell??) Overall, it was still an engaging read, once the story got moving.
