Dear Bully: Seventy Authors Tell Their Stories by Megan Kelley Hall, Carrie Jones

5.0

I LOVED this book. I'm not a big fan of analogies/short stories but this book made me mad and angry at the people that have hurt these authors but on the other end, it moved and touched me. I hope tweens/teens that read this will help them to stand up to people that are picking on them or if they see it happening to their friends.

This quite a large book but the stories kept me reading and wanting more.

Bullying has always been a big issue and now that Facebook has become more popular, cyber-bullying is taking bullying to the extreme. Most of these stories/memories started when the authors were in middle school. I can honestly say that I was never bullied in school but I know I needed to stand up for students that I saw were being bullied.

All of the authors in this book are popular and big name authors in YA and it was really interesting to hear their stories. Some of my favorite stories were by Heather Brewer, R.L. Stine, Saundra Mitchell, Sophie Jordan, Melodye Shore and Kiersten White.

I would recommend this book to teachers to share the different stories to their students. This book makes you think about what is wrong and how you can make things right!
