War of the Sea by Dana Claire

5.0

A gem of fantasy!

-I would like to thank the author for the eARC-

Elouise is the youngest captain of the sea and she has one goal: get revenge on her father's murderer. But when the man in question, Captain Rylander, offers a deal to kill the Siren Queen and end the war and the bloodshed plaguing the sea, she has a difficult decision to make. Will she decide to lead her all female crew to battle and save the sea or will she finally act on her revenge and kill the man responsible for her father's death?

I loved everything about this book! Being a big fan of pirates, enemies to lovers, and Greek mythology, I already knew that I was about to have a good time, but this book was really a pleasure to read! It was fast paced and I couldn't get enough. Not one second was I bored and I always wanted to see what was next. The two main characters were exquisite! I loved them both, their strenght, bravery and resilience were really fascinating. The romance was great, enemies to lovers like we want it to be, and fast-paced as well even if the characters still had the time to form a real connection. And the sexual tension! OMG! As for the story, it made my jaw drop. I did not expect things to turn out this way and all the reveals we had throughout the book had me gasping in surprise with the characters. I really loved the magic, the world, the plot, the characters, everything was well put together. The writing drew me in as well, it was addictive, immersive and perfect.

I highly recommend this amazing standalone if you love pirates, sirens, enemies to lovers and Greek mythology!
