The Second Duchess
by Elizabeth Loupas
I won this book through a giveaway on goodreads.com
I enjoyed this book for the most part. It is a murder mystery written in the first person, but I am not a fan of how the narration was split between two people. I understand that some of the story would be lost without some of what the second person had to say, but I would have appreciated the information be conveyed differently. I could have skipped through most of the offset narrative without consequence.
The language was lovely and the background of the story felt well researched. I would suggest it to anyone who enjoys murder mysteries and historical fiction.
