I really enjoyed the way we got to see the character as a former child, living off inheritance from her dead parents, and how she feels nothing about that. We got to to see how the rich spend their money, but as someone who does not want material things, so instead they spend it on material medications. The issues I had with the book were that some descriptions used to further the plot <like when she was in Reva's basement and couldn't sleep> seemed long and dragged on to me. I also thought the ending to be sad in terms of the real life event it was describing, but made sense for the character to feel that way. Lastly, the only other thing was the language about a child with autism. I guess during 2001 people cared less but I still didn't like reading it. Overall, I really enjoyed the character and what she did to hopefully rediscover her emotions!
