Girl in the Mirror by Cecelia Ahern

2.0

This is a short book - only 99 pages in total - so it's a quick read. It's two separate stories - The Girl in the Mirror and The Memory Maker.

The first, The Girl in the Mirror is the better of the two in my opinion. A haunting story about the magic of mirrors and a revelation as to why Lila's blind grandmother has kept the mirrors in her house covered for her whole life.

The second, The Memory Maker, focuses on the machine one man has made which enables him to create new memories for people.

Both were intriguing. For me The Girl in the Mirror was the more engaging of the two, although it could have been even better if the premise had been extended into a longer-length novel.
