Phoebe is forced to come home early from college due to a traumatic event she is hoping to keep from her father. When the grumpy sheriff is in need of a nanny with a specific skill set, Phoebe reluctantly agrees - it's a temporary arrangement and she needs the money. As she spends more time with Asher and his family, she can not help but realize her new employer is quite attractive. However, there are so many factors that make a potential romance forbidden between the two - not just the age gap but also Asher's boss is Phoebe's father.

This was my first book from the author and it did not disappoint. I absolutely adored grumpy Asher - Phoebe wasn't your typical sunshine character but she was fine. The inclusion of ASL in the story was so well done and elevated the relationships between the characters - Olivia was absolutely adorable. Personally I didn't think the circumstances of romance were totally forbidden but I could understand the characters reservations. The only thing that knocked this book off a star was the final plot twist - avoiding spoilers, it is one of my least favorite tropes - but it wasn't enough to ruin the entire book for me.
