A haunting beautiful and moving tale written by one of my favorite authors, Daphne du Maurier!
This is my second book by this author, the first one being a Frenchman’s Creek still my favorite by far!
While that one still had Daphne‘s fabulous lyrical, sweep you away prose, Jamaica Inn is far more gothic and honestly, I didn’t realize till after the book was over how haunting and disturbed I truly was!!
If you’re looking to be transported to a long ago time on the moors, I couldn’t recommend this more!
Also, the audiobook narrator did a fantastic job!
