The Promised Prince by Kortney Keisel
2.0

I'm kinda sad that I actually finished this book but I was hoping the ending would justify it. It really didn't.

I am unsure why this had to be a dystopian novel as it doesn't really make much of a difference when it comes to the main plot.

The characters, other than the main two, were mostly just caricatures and didn't seem like "real" people. Especially the antagonists of the story. The bad guys were just bad guys and were very, very open about it. Annoyingly so.

How she "solved" the love triangle was a bit lazy too, in my opinion, and it made my rating of the book in the entirety go down, along with how the main characters reacted to it, which was really, really weird and awkward at times.

The only good thing about the book was the witty/cute banter between the two MC's, but it was not enough to make me truly like the book.
