The Season of Risks by Susan Hubbard

5.0

The pacing in Risks felt much better than in Disappearances. Ari steps deeper into vampire intrigue while dealing with complex feelings surrounding her inability to age and questions about her own future.

Spoiler:
SpoilerI was reading along, and in the second part, I thought, “Whoa, this is starting to sound like a teenybopper vampire novel.” I never suspected that it was a duppy instead of Ari. I'll be a bit suspicious of everything in this series from now on. Hubbard is a very skilled writer.

Like the other books in this series, I couldn’t put it down.
