Tove Jansson’s writing always makes me smell the sea air, feel coarse sand under my feet and feel at peace. So did this book, filled with little stories and moments of insignificance, and yet full of life and meaning.
(Side note: I found it interesting and amusing that the translator had kept the Swedish place names in Finland, such as Helsingfors for Helsinki.)
