Well written and fascinating look at a life of a girl raised in Appalachia in the 1920's. Follows her life and life choices through an epistolary style novel. Would have been perfect had it been maybe 50 pages shorter. Some areas could have been more concise. I loved the melancholy, reflective mood of the book.
