First off,  Jonathan Pryce was terrific as narrator of this audiobook. Although parts of the novel are slowish, I recommend to keep going; afterall the book is a classic for a reason and will keep you thinking long after you've finished reading. It tackles relationship dynamics of the sexes, as well as issues like misogyny, obsession and financial female vulnerability that are still relevant today. I recommend it as a great book-club book as I've found everyone has their own take on the novel and creates lots of discussion. **Don't read if ambiguous conclusions bother you.
