I really liked the book at the start, but a few things took me out of it. it started to look like romance and i think that was a misdirection? the timeline is still a bit confusing to me. i didn’t think that the story needed romance and i ended up not reading for a while but when i went back in i’m glad that wasn’t entirely the situation
this is technically adult fiction but it still read like YA. some of the things with alex bothered me, with a lot of main character syndrome, not like other girl vibes, etc, but the story and conclusion and overall world building saved it for me.
