I was not expecting this to be funny, but I love a dark comedy and this was great! Despite the violence it was a surprisingly light-hearted book. Josh was hilarious and I loved his relationship with Aly's cat. Aly was a badass FMC and the humor and banter between her and Josh was immaculate. The touch her and die vibes from Josh was great, too. The audiobook was a full cast and I would definitely recommend going the audiobook route if you plan to read this. I got a physical copy of the second book in this duet because there was a long wait for the audiobook through my library, and I'm looking forward to reading it!
