I really enjoyed reading this book, largely because 1) I swear I have a memory of pouring maple syrup on snow and eating it, even though I know it only happened to Laura and 2) even though I've been a vegetarian for more than a decade the idea of a roasted pigs tail can make my mouth water. So it was great to revisit my own memories of the books as I read about Wendy McClure's journey. It's not a biography as much as a conversation, which I enjoyed. I've read biographies and I liked this very personal account that I could relate to. I like to think that Wendy and I would probably be friends. I started to lose interest towards the end of the narrative, but I'd definitely pass this book along to other Laura-fans.
