I Am an Island by Tamsin Calidas

dark inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

3.0

gives me 'into the wild' but woman vibes, which, for me, is not a good thing.
the author tries to single-handedly reshape a small community and its traditions, while at the same time she emphasizes the importance of tradition (kinda), because she feels 'more connected to the land'
some passages are beautiful tho, i just don’t think she’s fully aware of what it’s giving in the bigger picture and as a 'non-fiction' book
