It hit every single note. The voice actors were impeccable (even if they had to do each other's voices!), there was banter, rivals turned lovers, mystery, suspense, chemistry, a charming setting and great pacing.
Was it the best detective/crime novel? Hell no. Was it the best romance? Nope. But together it just worked and was exactly what I was looking for. A romance novel that goes a bit beyond.
Hell yes.
