This book captured my attention and kept it. It was a quick read but did not completely blow me away like Kings writing normally does. I think Trisha was fairly well written and actually seemed like a child in her thought processes ( which think is a feat as a lot of authors write children lost in the woods like adults) this made me invested in her story and even though I was sure she was going to survive I rooted for her throughout.

I was not really spooked by the book although there was several elements that were fairly creepy. I think that the ending kind of dragged and really petered out and was kind of silly. All in all I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to those that like survival fiction. It is a fairly short book and pretty easy to get into which is always nice. Was it the best King book? No, but I think it is worth the read for those that enjoy his work and are looking for something different.
