I think I would have liked this book better had I been more "outdoorsy" - but alas, I am not. I loved the main character, Walt Longmire, and his friend Henry Standing Bear was a gloriously fully-realized person on the page. However, so much of it took place in the wilds of Wyoming, and I couldn't really follow what was happening in the last shootout - the specifics of the guns and bullets and terrain and things of that nature probably went over my head. :)
