I love reading and watching dystopian stories and I am so happy that I've found this gem with a woman protagonist. It was a rather slow reading but the author managed to transpose me in the world she created and made me feel and suffer along with this woman left supposedly as a sole survivor on earth.
There is also a wonderful connection - between her, the nature and the animals she finds along the way - that I've found so endearing.
What happens towards the end left me in shock and it was not fair; but life isn't always fair, right? And yet you continue to fight to live or survive in her case.
