after the tragic ending of the long way home, into the dark follows a heart-broken magnolia trying to figure out her way in the world once more. it is heavy, it is heartbreaking, filled with grief and heart-ache. 

this was a beautiful conclusion to magnolia and bj’s story. after seeing the past two books, and how much turmoil they went through, being able to see them prosper filled my heart with joy

the character development of both of these characters is astonishing in my eyes. being able to understand why they are the way they are helps bring so much clarity to their actions. bj & magnolia are such a beautiful, destined couple when they get their shit together

the rest of the characters are also dear to my heart. i am both excited yet scared to read the daisy haites books once they come out. i can only imagine what’s going to happen

i’m not ready to be done with magnolia and bj’s story, but i am happy where it ended. the ending made my heart genuinely so happy. i’ll be thinking about these characters for a while.
