This took me a few chapters to get into, but I’m glad I kept going.
Lux and Slate come from different worlds and couldn’t be more opposite if you tried.
Lux lives a high-end life as a socialite and media influencer. She has never wanted for anything… except loving, non-judgemental parents and a brother that doesn’t live on the dark side.
Slate lives in the darkness, caring for his sick sister while trying to make ends meet to pay for her medical bills, whether it be legal or not.
When the two clash, what ensues is chaos!
But is the connection they feel enough to overcome everything else.
