Plot or Character Driven:
Character
Strong character development:
Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
I don't know how to feel about this book or how to rate it. One Italian Summer is a book, and I mean that in the most neutral of ways.
Katy and Carol are both realistically flawed and complex characters. Positano is a character all of it's own in this story. That's really all I want to say on it. It was good, but I could have lived without it too.
I think to dismiss this book because Katy cheats on her husband is to completely miss the point of the book.
