Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas

I'm conflicted about this book.
It was a good book with complex characters, and the sex was well written, BUT especially at the beginning there were times when Misha and Ryen were hard to like.
Misha moved to Ryens city and after having known her for 7 years but never seen each other he had this idea of who she was and when he finally saw her and saw how she acted in school, it was not like he imagined she would be. And then he started bullying her and making her feel bad, all while saying how stupid and dumb she was for bullying others and how horrible it is to bully.
Ryen as we find out has a lot of insecureties and the author tries to justify them but really she was just a bad friend.
Even to who was supposed to be her best friend in high school, yes she wasn't good to her either but ryen was unnecessarily mean at times. Ryen wrote a letter to her childhood friend to apologize and i like that and i get that kids so stupid things but i wish she would have stopped ans thought for a second

Now the good things, i want to have a penpal that i can wrote for 7 years, idk why i just really like the thought. And yes despite the not so good things i said about the book i finished it in about two days and i love the little things we get told. For example we meet misha's cousin will and his friends. They are characters in another for Penelope Douglas's books; corrupt.
I loved finding out the meaning behind punk. the little notes Misha wrote all over the place, when ever he got a lyric inspiration. And despite them having a bit of a bit of a toxic relationship they turn it around and i love then ending, and i wish it was longer i want to know more!!!

But yeah over all a good book but not my favorite
